Life transitions and learning readiness of adult learners. This research focuses on life transitions as a determinant of adult learning readiness. Stress components are present during each transition which forms one theoretical construct for learning readiness. A workable measuring scale was developed from this construct to measure learning as an adaptation mechanism in life processes.
Opsomming
Hierdie navorsing fokus op lewensoorgange as determinant van leergereedheid by volwassenes. Tydens eike spesifieke oorgangstydperk is streskomponente teenwoordig wat met lewensoorgange geassosieer word. Die komponente vorm saam een teoretiese konstruk vir leergereedheid waaruit 'n bruikbare metingskaal ontwikkel is om leer as aanpassingsmeganisme in lewensprosesse te meet.
